A few days have passed since the end of the fashion week held in Milan from 19 to 25 February 2019 for the presentation of the autumn/winter 2019-2020 collections.

As I promised I will tell you what I really liked and that I found interesting from a scenographic point of view as well as the collections proposed.

The curtain of the “Teatrino D&G”

Theatrical, it can be defined just like that, the Dolce & Gabbana show took place in their very private temple, the Teatro Metropol in Viale Piave in Milan.

With a curtain consisting of fire-red curtains, lights, chandeliers and flowers, even a presenter placed on the stage that announced the models at every exit from behind the scenes.

The presenter

So it opened the very waiting parade to which, fortunately and our absolute happiness, were not invited unnecessary influencer or characters too VIP.

I fully share the policy of the two designers and their statements about the “use” of influencer to sell more, especially when your brand does not need it and your target does not need to be reached by anyone who is a talented fashion designer. How was the business before the influencer?

I will not dwell on the clothes that in many ways I found elegant without being blatantly flashy as it is customary and we have seen in the previous collections, but I need to focus on a goodie, which amazes me and that, as a proclamation of the NO FUS (no furry shoes), I could not let them go…

What do I see!!!

OMG! The hairy shoes by Dolce & Gabbana! Well I have been looking for a long time on the web, in stores but I did not find anything and therefore I consider them as a novelty for the next fall/winter season. Winter?? Maybe to go shopping wearing a baby doll without socks? Or are they really room slippers? Who knows!

Sober and elegant prints
A little too Russian matron style
Flemish still life floral wallpaper style
This wedding dress reminds me very much the one worn by Kristen Dunst in the movie Melancholia

Congratulations to this theatrical fashion show that I liked very much and the many dresses presented that I appreciated for their anomalous sobriety and artistic choices.
